Assessments

Psychological Assessments

Assessment helps clarify aspects of development, emotional wellbeing, behaviour and learning, and identify possible directions for support.

Comprehensive Psychological Assessment

The composition of appointments and the set of methods depend on age and concerns. Below are typical elements of a comprehensive assessment.

  • developmental assessment;
  • assessment of cognitive functioning;
  • assessment of emotional wellbeing;
  • behavioural assessment;
  • assessment of readiness for nursery or school;
  • standardised methods;
  • interview with parents or the client;
  • written report;
  • practical recommendations.

ADOS-2 — Assessment When Autism Spectrum Conditions Are Suspected

ADOS-2 is a standardised observational assessment that helps evaluate social interaction, communication, play and behaviour in children and teenagers.

The specialist selects an appropriate module based on the child’s age and language level, conducts the assessment through structured activities and discusses the results with parents. ADOS-2 is part of a comprehensive assessment and is not used as the sole basis for a diagnosis.

What the Method Includes

  • structured observation;
  • tasks and situations matched to age and developmental level;
  • assessment of communication and social interaction;
  • interpretation of results in a clinical context.

Outcome

  • a detailed written report;
  • discussion of the findings;
  • recommendations for further support, learning and therapy.
